When we read this familiar verse, our attention is usually drawn to love, and rightly so, for love is the greatest. But notice that Paul does not only mention love; he mentions faith and hope too. These three are not random virtues but the very pillars of a victorious Christian life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Throughout the New Testament, we see the apostles consistently emphasizing faith, hope, and love. In fact, these three capture the entire Christian journey. If a believer learns nothing else but these three, they will still live a rich, meaningful Christian life. That is how essential they are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Paul highlights them again in 1 Thessalonians 1:3<\/strong>, saying: Here\u2019s why they matter so much:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Paul\u2019s statement in 1 Corinthians 13:13 reminds us that while spiritual gifts like prophecy, tongues, and knowledge are valuable, they will eventually cease. But faith, hope, and love will never lose their relevance, not now, not ever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is not to downplay spiritual gifts; in fact, Paul goes on to encourage their use in 1 Corinthians 14. But he first reminds us that gifts are temporary tools, while faith, hope, and love are eternal essentials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If these three are alive in you, you have what it takes to walk in victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n PRAYER:<\/strong> \u201cAnd now these three remain: faith, hope and love.
