Fear Not: Standing Firm in Your Victory

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”
Isaiah 43:1b-2 (NIV)

Fear is one of the easiest ways to give the devil access to your life. His power lies in deception and fear. When you refuse to be deceived and reject fear in your heart, the enemy loses his grip over you. This is why believers must remain steadfast and unshakable in their convictions from God’s Word.

The Word of God reveals the true identity of Satan—defeated and powerless against a believer who knows their authority in Christ. Never let movies, stories, or imaginations magnify the devil in your eyes. Even if you encounter something that appears frightening, it has no real power unless you allow fear to take root.

The Bible assures us that when we resist the devil, he will flee from us. So why should a believer be the one running? Refuse to be deceived. Stand your ground. Hold fast to the Word and your identity in Christ.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9 (NIV)

Make a firm decision today to drive fear out of your life completely by building unshakable trust in God and His Word. When you do, not only will you stop being afraid of Satan, but you will also make him flee from you.

Prayer:
Thank you, Father, for what you have made me in Christ. Help me to put away fear completely and to walk daily in the confidence of your Word. Amen.
